Terms of service
The agreement between you and us. We've kept it as short and readable as the subject allows — no clause is hidden in a wall of capitals.
Terms of service
Last updated 3 August 2026
1. The agreement
These terms are between you (or the organisation you represent) and FlowDesk ("we", "us"), and they govern your use of SERPCompass. By creating an account or using the service, you accept them. If you're agreeing on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you're authorised to do so.
2. Your account
- Give accurate registration details and keep them current.
- Keep your credentials secure. You're responsible for activity under your account.
- Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
- You must be at least 16 years old and legally able to enter a contract.
Seats are unlimited on every plan. You may invite colleagues and clients at no additional cost, and you remain responsible for what they do in your workspace.
3. Acceptable use
SERPCompass analyses websites, which makes responsible use important. You agree not to:
- Use the service to attack, overload or disrupt any website or system.
- Attempt to bypass authentication, paywalls or access controls on any site.
- Circumvent your plan's limits, or resell raw access to the service as if it were your own API.
- Use the service to break the law, infringe someone's rights, or violate a third party's terms.
- Reverse engineer, copy or attempt to extract the underlying source of the service.
- Upload malicious code, or interfere with other customers' use of the service.
You may absolutely use SERPCompass to analyse sites you don't own — that's what competitive analysis is — using publicly available information. Connecting first-party performance data requires that you have legitimate access to that property.
4. Plans, limits and payment
- Free plan. Genuinely free and available indefinitely, subject to its limits. We may change those limits with notice.
- Paid plans. Billed in advance on a recurring basis until cancelled. Fees are stated on our pricing page and exclude taxes unless stated otherwise.
- Usage limits. Each plan includes a monthly allowance of projects and reports. When you reach it, new runs pause until the period resets or you upgrade. Existing data stays accessible.
- Changing plans. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time. Upgrades apply immediately; downgrades apply from the next billing period.
- Cancelling. Cancel any time. Your plan runs to the end of the period you've paid for, then reverts to Free.
- Refunds. Payments are generally non-refundable, but if something went wrong on our side, tell us — we'd rather fix it than argue about it.
- Price changes. We'll give existing subscribers at least 30 days' notice before a price increase takes effect for them.
5. Your data and ours
Your data stays yours. You keep all rights to the content you upload, the properties you connect, and the data we collect on your behalf. You grant us only the licence needed to operate the service for you — to store, process and display that data within your workspace.
Our platform stays ours. We keep all rights to SERPCompass itself: the software, the models, the methodology and the interface. Nothing here transfers ownership of it.
Export. You can export your reports and results while your account is active. Ask and we'll help you get your data out.
How we handle personal data is described in our privacy notice, which forms part of these terms.
6. Third-party services
SERPCompass connects to third-party services such as Google Search Console and Analytics, and relies on publicly available web data. Your use of those services remains governed by their own terms. We aren't responsible for a third party changing, limiting or discontinuing access, though we'll work to adapt when it happens.
7. Accuracy and no guarantee of results
This section matters more than most, so we've written it plainly.
SERPCompass provides analysis, estimates and recommendations. Some figures are measured directly; others are modelled, and the product labels which is which. Search engines and AI assistants change constantly and are outside anyone's control.
We do not guarantee any ranking, traffic level, visibility outcome or business result. Anyone who does is selling you something they can't deliver. Decisions you take based on the service are yours, and we recommend applying your own professional judgement, particularly to anything material.
Specific known limits — including that absolute search volume isn't available from our sources and that our link data is less exhaustive than a dedicated vendor's — are published on our product page rather than buried here.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep SERPCompass available and reliable, but we don't promise uninterrupted service. Maintenance, third-party outages and faults happen. We may add, change or remove features over time; if we remove something significant, we'll give reasonable notice to affected customers.
9. Ending the agreement
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that materially breaches these terms, in most cases after telling you and giving you a chance to put it right, though we may act immediately where there's a risk of harm to the service, to other customers, or to third-party sites.
On termination, your right to use the service ends. We'll delete your workspace data in line with our privacy notice; ask beforehand if you want an export.
10. Warranties and liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability arising out of or relating to these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain exclusions, in which case they don't apply to you.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections in your own country.
If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. Our not enforcing a right immediately doesn't waive it. These terms, together with the privacy notice, are the entire agreement between us about the service.
We may update these terms; if a change is material we'll notify account holders and update the date above. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.
